An absolute bucket-list spot! Meet chassis 1965GT, one of only 45 full alloy-bodied, Competizione-spec 250 GT SWBs. This "Passo Corto"—which was originally raced by Ecurie Francorchamps (hence the yellow paintwork)—has had a turbulent history. After taking part in the 1960 Tour de France (DNF) and several other races around the globe (including a win in Zandvoort in '61), it suffered a major crash in Angola. The chassis and surviving parts were bought by Piero Drogo and later sold in the 1970s. In the late 1980s, the car was restored, and heavily damaged body parts were reproduced to factory specifications by Hietbrink in the Netherlands. Following the restoration (fitted with the engine from another SWB, #2033GT), the car eventually found its way to an incredible collection of classic cars in Monaco.

It sadly is, the more modern stuff is way more popular. But if I had to choose between this or any modern hypercar, the choice is easy...
