It's always special when you spot a legendary supercar from the last decade like this on the road. I like this spec with the black wheels and party black spoiler. I remember this used to be one of my favorite cars back in the day and I'm sure I wasn't the only one.

Hi West! Such an incredible spot buddy. The CGT is really close to my heart, it has been one of my favourite supercars since I was a child. Even though I haven't seen a single one of them, I still love this machine so much. Great capture my friend, and I really like those plates. They tell quite a lot about where to find this CGT lol. Stunning with the black rims! Love it! I've seen only one of these in St. Louis a few years ago, and there is a silver one here in KC. The owner has about 20 Porsches so it is a VERY small chance I ever get to spot one. Great spot!!!!

@Enzo112. Hi Enzo. IMHO I think the CGT could of been one of the greatest cars ever made if only Porsche placed a modern gearbox in that car. Just like they placed in their 918. That small clutch in the CGT is just too finicky, and temperamental. The other issue is that it has no lockout for reverse gear. The positive aspect is between her stunning looks and the incredible sounding V10 engine this was one epic creation.

I respectfully disagree :) I think the old-school manual gearbox is partly what makes this car such a legend. It really was the last of its kind to offer very little in the way of modern features such as a DCT or many of the safety features that are commonplace in today's cars. The anti stall system was pretty weird though. Plus, at the time Porsche developed this, trsnsmission technology had not advanced to the point where Porsche would have used anything other than an automated unit such as the F1 or E-Gear found in Ferraris and Lambos, and by this point those are all considered pretty much obsolete next to the PDKs of today's world.
Anyway, insane find!!! I've always wanted to spot one of these, but to date I have not found any of the local ones on the streets. There is apparently a yellow one in Raleigh that pops up every now and then, and while that wouldn't be my first choice in color, it would certainly be a unique spot. Not that a CGT isn't unique anyway lol.

@NCspotter. Hi Nick I was thinking of you as I was writing down my comments to Enzo lol. Brother I know how passionate you are about manual gearboxes and that should never be debated. As a guy who loves to drive on race tracks I just hate when something mechanical stands in the way of a faster lap time lol. I do love playing with the gated shiftier in the older Ferrari's around the back roads. When ever you decide to drive a car on track contact me I would love to be there to cheer you on buddy!
